Alex Frank, Supercharger Regional Manager for the UK at Tesla

In addition to keeping you updated about all the great things that are going on at The Clubhouse, we thought we’d turn the tables and put the focus on all the exciting things our fantastic members are achieving!

For our July ‘Member in the spotlight’ feature we spoke to Alex Frank, Supercharger Regional Manager for the UK at Tesla. You’d have to have been living under a rock to not have heard of premium electronic car company Tesla, and you can find out more about what Alex and his team does below.

Tell us about yourself and your company.
I work for Tesla. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Tesla’s goal is to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. Our team focuses primarily on providing robust rapid charging solutions within the UK to allow Tesla owners to travel long distance in their cars by using conveniently placed stations along well-travelled routes.

What has been your biggest success so far?
Tesla has achieved a significant amount over the last 6 years, and it’s something to be really proud of. In 2012, Tesla delivered the world’s first premium electric sedan, Model S. With the recent Model 3, Tesla takes another significant step towards its mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable transportation.

What project are you most excited about right now?
There are currently more than 600 supercharging locations worldwide and with over 30 locations in the UK, the team is focused on continually looking at opportunities around the globe to construct new sites. Continuing that level of growth while maintaining the quality of the customer experience is always our primary focus.

How has being a member of The Clubhouse improved the way you work or contributed to the success of your business?
Having a place in central London where I can meet privately with my team or host meetings in a quiet and comfortable environment helps us reconnect, as we often travel to sites or offsite meetings. Also, the coffee is always hot and close at hand, which is a requisite for us.

Where can other members find you?
Probably on our phones, or hammering away at laptops in the new office in St. James Square.

Who inspires you and why?
My team inspires me daily with their work ethic and dedication to the mission. They are a small, but incredibly productive and creative group of individuals.

Are you an early bird or night owl?
Night owl. It helps with the time difference when you work for a California based company!
